Review on 🐠 Eheim AEH2262380 Aquarium Filter with Valves for Model 2262-38: The Perfect Solution for Crystal Clear Water by Kara Collins

I have used this unit in a 125 gallon aquarium with Fluval fx6 for about a year. I have very healthy large Central American cichlids in my inventory. This particular 2262 is one of the German made versions sold by Revain (not the seller). It works great and just keeps working. I only opened it once to rinse my seachem matrix, eheim ehfimech and eheim easter grass media. The chemical composition of the water remains stable and pure. The motor is powerful and therefore delivers the perfect current. I cut the atomizer and position it so that it moves. My Maskaheros Argentea and Regani seem to really like the current. When it comes time to move this beast, a quick double-tap shutdown makes it much easier. You just twist a few levers and unscrew the connector. You never have to remove the hoses. The only criticism is that eheim could have included more detailed assembly instructions. However, with a little trial and error, it's not too difficult. For reliability, performance, simplicity and quality construction, this is my favorite canister. UPDATE: Three years of work and no problems. Now I'm doing great on my 180 in conjunction with Fluval Fx6. This is a beast to pull out of the closet. Must refuel manually after service. But nothing concerns this unit for fluid and biofiltering media.
