I was looking for a replacement fog lamp for my 11 Tahoe. I didn't want the headlights to be too bright and oncoming drivers to flash their high beams at me. I saw very good reviews about JDM ASTAR 1200. So I took a leap of faith! I recently installed LED headlights and needed to complete the upgrade. First I would suggest putting a light coat of petroleum jelly on the orange o-ring at the base of the LED stack. It fits snugly into the truck's fog light housing. At first I couldn't lock the headlight in the housing because the dry O-ring was rubbing against the truck's fog light housing. After I had coated the O-ring with Vaseline, everything went very easily. Be careful, NO LUBRICANT ON THE LED LIGHT SEGMENTS! If any of the segments get fat, you've just destroyed the lightbulb, it will burn out when you turn on the power! Do not touch the lamp's LED filaments with your fingers, the oil from your fingers will also destroy the lamp! The fog lights are far superior to my standard halogen bulbs, just what I was looking for! No error codes from my truck computer either. The wire harness has a resistor in its own hardened housing. The resistance does not allow the on-board computer to determine the lamp failure due to its lower power and excessive flashing. Definitely plug and play for my 11 Chevy Tahoe.
