Mediocre colors and quality

I have a lot of experience drawing faces for a zoo. They used Snazar. When I was a babysitter, I used face paint. I'm trying to branch out and find decent face paints. The colors I received were washed out and so disappointing. Colors weren't consistent either - really ugly shades of yellow, red, and green. They don't activate very well in water, so they weren't "thick" and "creamy". I'm not sure if vibrancy means "lighter colors" to them. For example, an orange is a terrible bright orange highlighter. The yellow is a dull straw, not a ranunculus. The red color is just blah, like red plastic that has been left in the sun for too long. Above all, he was very upset that I was working on my first real face painting concert. The blue squid was very apologetic, sent me a free set (which I think I'll just pass on to my little cousin) and gave me a full refund. Not sure what all the fuss is about as these face paints are generally really lame shades and lame consistency.

  • Crafts and sewing
Cons
