Let's start with the phone itself. I liked it. I would probably give it 4 stars and subtract 1 star because I'm not allowed to use line 2 by default when dialing. In short, this phone has disabled all incoming calls on Line 2. No other phones could receive calls, and more importantly, my fax machine could not receive incoming faxes. There were no problems with outgoing calls on line 2. How weird is that? The reason I said "maybe" earlier is because it happened on a different phone at a different time. However, apart from the 2 phones mentioned I've never had any problems with numerous other phones - 5 in the house and all have probably been replaced at least once - so probably a dozen or so phones with no problems. hmmmm It took a long time to fix the broken phone - replacing all cables, replacing fax machines, trying different phones, checking external connections, etc. Just remembering ALL the changes to the phone system caused this problem to appear. bright. "Hey, I connected a new phone a few days ago. Could that be the problem?" Yes it was. Update - OK - I originally gave 2 stars but have now downgraded to 1 star. I had to pay ($11.30 = 22% of the purchase price) to get the phone to return the seller and get a refund. When we got back from our Valentines dinner last night there was a box by the front door - another phone (I wanted a refund). The outer carton is undamaged but not sealed. The inner packaging was torn , so I doubt it was a new phone. Could it be refurbished or the returned phone might have been sent back? Connected - same problem. I've had Lucent, AT&T, Panasonic and Uniden phones (and possibly others) with no problems I've had Brother, Samsung and HP faxes with no problems Warning - Revain does NOT demand the same level of customer service from its partners that Revain builds its reputation on built. I just hope they will help solve this problem. Meanwhile, I lost $63.47 on a $52.17 phone that doesn't work in my home. Second update - I returned the second phone. Revain gave me a promotional credit for both shipping costs. While the seller they are associated with may not meet Revain's standards, Revain will do its best to deal fairly with this transaction. Third update - the seller, antoline.com, wanted to leave $7.97 as compensation for his "free shipping". If Revain hadn't come and given me promotional credit, I would have lost $30.57 if I returned a phone that originally cost $52.17.
