SAME FILTER for 1/5 price.
All GAC filters work the same way. The water is filtered through charcoal and the medium removes toxins. The canisters are exactly the same as the Samsung original. If you have a LOT more money to spend, buy the Samsung version. Due to the fact that the price is MUCH lower, changing the filter every 6 months is NOT BIG now. I highly recommend these filters. Save some money for the same basic product.
