As per other reviews the instructions are not very good. The beveled edge is difficult to see. But you will soon see that the pre-drilled holes are in different places in the tree. Just make sure the wooden edges line up as you screw them onto the metal rings. Otherwise very intuitively easy to assemble. Actually it was fun. The hardest part was removing the protective plastic sheeting from the poles. Very hard work. I love the different colors of wooden floorboards. Not used yet. Gave to my husband for Christmas. Will be updated after use.
