I have lower and mid back pain, but I'm a small person so I wasn't sure how well this would work for me -- the smallest size available is "Medium." It was bigger on me than I wanted, but I managed to make it work. The device is VERY adjustable, with layers of elastic straps and strong Velcro. I was able to cinch it in very snuggly around my waist. It did end up being uncomfortably "high" due to the length, but I'm a very short person (5'1") and it's probably just right for normal folks.Anyway. There's a separate heating plate that velcros to the back of the brace. It's quick and easy to remove, so this can be used heated or unheated without any difficulty. The power bank is slim and slides into a little pocket. There's a tiny controller that turns it on and sets the temperature. It's tiny enough to not get in the way while in use. I found the heat output plenty adequate for my back, where my skin is thin and my bones are close to the surface. This wouldn't be enough heat output for other parts of my body. There's a USB cable for recharging and a wall adapter plug.The wrap has metal plates hidden inside to provide support, but you can't really feel them while in use. I wouldn't describe this as "comfortable" to wear, but it's about as comfortable as this type of product can be, I think. The material and construction is heavy duty and sturdy.The current price of$39 for this is actually a very good value. It arrives in a giftable box with a brief user's manual pamphlet.
