Inexpensive, light, durable
Easy to program. Seems solid enough (there's even an O-ring covering the battery and electronics, I'm guessing for water resistance). Please note that the programming steps for the Ford Focus differ from those described here. You have to look for it yourself. However, this is not a disadvantage of remote controls.
