I have used several sugar scrubs but this is my first salt scrub. I have to say I prefer that to sugar. Upon opening, the smell is light and not overpowering at all. A kind of pure herbal mixture. After rinsing, the smell is very subtle and almost non-existent. What I like. You'll only really smell it if you know how to look for it or if you have a super sniffer. The texture is obviously coarser than sugar :) which makes it easier and more efficient to use. It doesn't melt as quickly as the sugar-based one, so you can use less product for the same coverage. The skin is smoother and I am very happy with the result. I used this and my current sugar side by side for comparison and I genuinely believe this Himalayan scrub has made my skin smoother for longer. It could just be the specific sugar I compared it to or my imagination, but that's my opinion. :) Overall I am very happy with this product and would definitely buy it again.
