I have used them to make jump rings from the smallest to the largest sizes. I was very skeptical how well a 0.5mm mandrel would hold up (that thing is thinner than a paper clip). This worked well and as a result I now have a bunch of jump rings that are so small I can't do anything with them (yet). It's not the fault of this article, it's GOOD to be able to make such tiny rings. You are small! The larger ones work just as well, but it can be difficult to read the size tag on them. Don't worry, just measure with calipers. I am very happy with them and plan to use them for a long time.
