I didn't measure every mandrel. But I was able to find exactly what I needed in the set. I had to make 3.8 OD jumper rings out of 18 gauge wire and 3.4 OD jumper rings out of 18 gauge wire. It took a bit of trial and error, but I finally got it working. For smaller thorns, leave at least an inch of wire at the beginning end so you have something to hold on to.

Had I known they existed I would have saved myself months of tedious winding of perfectly round spools. It is MANDATORY stainless steel. Even the smallest set has power. I am very impressed by these thorns and will give this name to anyone who asks me how I do what I do! I have used them to make jump rings from the smallest to the largest sizes. I was very skeptical how well a 0.5mm mandrel would hold up (that thing is thinner than a paper clip). This worked well and as a result I now have a bunch of jump rings that are so small I can't do anything with them (yet).
