I bought these shoes expecting very little but I was wrong. After 2 months of daily wear the shoes are holding up like a boss - no tears, stitching and soles intact, and their shape is still pretty good. I bought these specifically for the sole that wraps around and over the toe as that seems to always be the first failure point for my son who uses his toes as brakes on his bike and scooter. They have not disappointed. The padding is meh and I wish there was a mechanism to hold the tongue in place, but neither of these bother my son. He loves the Velcro closure - easy and tight enough on his narrowish feet. Pleasantly surprised.
