First of all the filter is just perfect. Fits great and is an exact replacement for the OEM filter in my LEAF (at a fraction of the dealer cost) - but, and this isn't about the Champ installer, it's about the sadistic team of Nissan engineers who dreamed up the filter placement has! Hidden deep behind the glove box that needs to be overcome to lose 8 after removing, count them, 8! screws, and then you still have to pull and pull to get it out! In addition, the filter housing is approx. 40% smaller than the filter itself! Therefore, you will need to press the tab (thanks for providing it! and next time accurately reproduce the Installer Champ filter) to force the filter out of the case. Then line up the new filter in the same way, pushing the ends down and at an angle, inserting one corner, then the next before bending down as you pull it in. Finally, first tilt the top corner (with tongue) and wait for it to come out of the case. The lower part is simply pushed in. Reinstall the white plastic filter housing and flip the glove box back (gently) to secure all the tabs before reinstalling the screws. Wipe the sweat from your forehead and turn on the air conditioning. 66 and enjoy the fresh breeze for a few minutes :) The total time (including watching YouTube videos :) ) was about 25 minutes.
