I'm old and my fingers don't work as well as they used to. The wing nut presents a problem because it is small and awkward to use. What I did was buy an old fashioned bicycle front wheel wing nut. It is loosely attached to the threaded rod, onto which a small wing nut is screwed. I removed the small wing nut and put on an old fashioned bicycle wing nut, then I put on the small "rear" wing nut. " on a large bicycle wing nut. Very easy on your fingers as you have a much larger area which makes it very easy to apply more force when tightening the wires. Still gave five stars as the tool is not faulty my old fingers
