I have an AV studio with 3 different recording stations and I needed a way to get XLR audio straight into the camera for live broadcasts. This product works as advertised and makes it easy to get quality sound. A couple of reasons I couldn't give it 5 stars is that the monitor levels on the unit don't reflect very well what signal the camera is actually receiving. On the device it shows almost no signal, but on my camera it shows that it's receiving a fairly high signal level. So pay attention to avoid spikes. There also needs to be a way to power the device from mains power rather than just battery power. I understand,
