Review on 🐠 Non-Toxic Aquarium Silicone Sealant (10.4 fl oz) Safe for Fish: A Trusted Choice by Laurel Rohr

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Smells like silicone!

I bought this to glue the baffles in a glass aquarium to make a sump. The application is pretty typical. It feels a little thicker than the caulk you put on in bathrooms or in your driveway, but that also means it won't sag. It could also mean higher strength, but I don't plan on testing that. My tube comes with a handy screw cap tip that may allow you to use the tube for more than a day. And yes, it smells strongly of vinegar. BUT, when it comes to silicone, you have two choices: material that dries in a few days and smells like a pickle factory, or a low-odor material that dries up to two weeks. Choose your poison ;)

Pros
  • multipurpose. When it comes to your aquarium, our safe silicone can be used for a variety of purposes. Clear silicone can be used to caulk seams, seal leaks and even add decorations to the sides and bottom of the aquarium.
Cons
  • Slightly torn
