Customer service was great when one of the stakes had a minor issue and they got a replacement out quickly.I am using the lights to illuminate a Christmas display in the middle of our yard. The lights are plenty bright for an 8 foot wide sign. We even see the lights at night, shining on our bedroom ceiling up on the 2nd floor. It has been a month so far. It has rained and the lights seem fine but I cannot speak to their longevity yet. I am using the stakes, but I do like the idea of being able to secure them on say a deck or something after Christmas. Lots of options to play around with.I am slightly annoyed that the main cord is short (from plug to first light), it does not reach from the lights to the outlet on the side of my house. Not a problem, run an extension cord out to it, right? Yes, but then because of the size of their "indoor" plug, I need a big old weather proof plug protector box sitting in the middle of the yard to connect the extension cord to their cord.I wish their cord was longer so there was more flexibility in placement of where the lights start or that their plug was outdoor rated or at least that their plug was not some BIG thing that requires a substantial weather protective box to make the connection to an outdoor cord.Of course, this would no be an issue for someone installing the lights where they start by the house or an outdoor outlet. This may be a unique situation to me since the lights are out the in open by a Christmas display in the middle of the yard.If you are looking at these, just consider cord length and plan your layout ahead of time.BTW, family loves playing with the remote and changing colors. So far, it really has been a nice set of lights. I don't want the plug comments to over shadow our enjoyment from the lights and their customer service.
