After our beloved Christmas angel tragically fell from the top of a tree and died, we needed a replacement. Some family members say she was pushed after realizing her mother was alone in a room with no witnesses when the tragic event took place. Not wanting to be forced to accept the idea that we could have an angelic family member, we decided to replace the angel with a star and chose this one as it doesn't require batteries to light up. I don't know why gold. It's about half the price of silver, but gold looks good, and at the top of the tree, the cheap plastic construction doesn't stand out. It is clearly visible from afar.
