Review on RAM Quick Grip Phone Holder Ball by Darryl Jennings

Bought Quick-Grip for S20 FE. I also have an X-Grip that I bought for another phone a few years ago. I find the Quick-Grip much more secure in the car or bike, while the X-Grip is better for holding the phone on a table, e.g. B. on video calls, reading instructions, when I need both hands etc. I checked the comments in detail before I bought the Quick-Grip and I will check what I found myself now that I have it have. Materials and Construction: This is not a cheap construction. I've been using Ram mounts for GPS units for years and none of them have broken or given me a problem. The materials are strong and if you break them during assembly or use, you will strain too much. Mine came with screws of different lengths for mounting so you can adapt to your situation. I used medium length bolts to hold the locknuts securely, but when reassembling the bolts did not protrude past the back of the ball housing and side arms. Assembly was intuitive. Some may require more detailed instructions, but the pictograph instructions are more than adequate for this simple product. Utility: Quick-Grip is definitely safer than X-Grip in any vibration environment. The spring is quite strong, but I have no problem installing or removing the phone with one hand. Hook your index finger into the side support arm, then use your thumb to press up and out on the bottom/middle of the phone. You have to be careful or you could drop your phone as the bottom pops out of the case, but it's a learning experience and easy to do once you get the hang of it. Because the side arms have multiple slots that you can build, I have access to all the onscreen features, the fingerprint sensor, the side buttons, and the charging port. The camera still works with one exception. Due to multiple camera lenses at 1x magnification and higher, the camera works fine. At 0.5x magnification (zoom out), a small dark area appears at one edge of the image due to the wide viewing angle. It is no problem for me. My phone is pinned for easy access to phone features, maps, navigation, etc., not for taking photos. The X-Grip would be my choice if I wanted a photo-only mount. My old phone with a different camera layout works great in Quick-Grip. I think there was a review where someone modified the quick grip for their own needs. I don't see why it can't be done without compromising integrity if that's what you want. I'm happy with it the way it is. Overall, the Quick-Grip is a great holder.
