I have an old vacuum that still works well enough if I can find packaging for it. This is an old Kenmore that I admittedly bought the day after my much cheaper Dirt Devil on sale at Sears. The model I bought was listed as pet-friendly in consumer reports, and my cat passionately hated the Dirt Devil. She didn't hate Kenmore that much, but now it was taking longer than she did. (She died at the age of 21 1 month). With allergies to almost anything, HEPA vacuum is vital to my survival as I insist on keeping my cats no matter what my allergist says about them. I can really tell the difference between regular bags and these both during and after vacuuming as I can breathe better with them than the much cheaper non-HEPA bags. They're worth the money if your vacuum takes a bag this size. It's a nice, thick, baggy fabric that fits snugly around my vacuum.
