Review on πŸ”₯ Powerful Suburban Manufacturing SW6DE RV Water Heater - 5239A | High Performance Heating for Your RV Journey by Mark Hobbs

Revainrating 5 out of 5

12VDC are absolutely necessary! Even if you connected it to 120 VAC

The schematic was the best part of the manual. Also, I had to go online and call a technician to get answers to my installation questions. The overall quality of the heater is excellent! Now that it's installed and running on both electricity and gas. I just want to throw it out. If you want to install it on an older model trailer you will need to connect an independent 12V power line to the heater. That's the only way the DSI system works, if you don't have 12v you can't run this heater on gas! If you have 120VAC you can run the heater on an electric element but not on gas. Even if you connected it to 120V AC, you still need 12V to operate the ignition system on the gas side of this heater. I had to find that out on my own. did i miss something in the instructions? I do not know. now i do and i hope this helps others.
