Agree with the first rating. Towels work best after several washes as the fibers become more permeable. The fibers themselves appear healthy and of good quality. The towels also look like they are well folded. I have always liked linen embroidery because each thread has its own character. Makes for a very simple yet elegant finishing touch. Haven't had it long enough to test durability. I have machine washed these towels and they have been fine. They dry relatively quickly. If you're looking for a towel just to dry your dishes, cotton is cheaper, but if you want to add something special, you can't go wrong with linen.
