Good for low price but some annoying details

I bought this screen as a second screen for my new work laptop (Macbook Pro 2022). The laptop only has USB-C ports and struggled with my 7 year old monitor and all the converter cables I had. I tried two settings: - With the original VGA cable that I used with the old monitor, it technically worked, but there were wavy stripes in the picture. Also annoying is that the corners of the ports all face down instead of out, and while they're labeled, you still have to awkwardly bend down to look under the edge and get the cables right there. This was particularly annoying with the VGA cable because of the pins. It is almost impossible to twist the pins of a VGA cable with your fingers. I used pennies because I'm a regular person without the special tools you have to use for VGA screw pins. Not a big deal, but annoying - I tried the USB-C to USB-C cable that came with the monitor and it works much better. Sharp picture, good resolution overall and no random shutdowns like my old setup. So what I'm saying is that if you want to use old hardware, it probably won't work well. It technically has a VGA connector, but its location makes it awkward to use. Although everything was fine with the new cable that came with the kit. The price was cheap compared to other monitors, so it does quite well for that. The final annoyance is that the kit doesn't include the screws that the manual says are included. This will attach the base to the screen. Failure to do so by incorrectly following the instructions will void the warranty (this is indicated in the documents attached to the product). I contacted the seller so I hope he comes.
