Battery independent Independence Day lamp

I love this lamp. He's too beautiful to ignore. The only criticism is the short battery life. I checked by putting in three fully charged AAA batteries and they lasted about 24 hours. That means if you want the light to stay on, you'll have to change the batteries every day! This is madness from both a financial and labor-intensive perspective. And the only way to prolong its operation is to turn it off by pressing the button below. Very uncomfortable. Like many buyers, I also wish it could be plugged into an outlet so I don't have to keep changing batteries. Well, the good news is that with a little effort, I got my wish. Anyone can do it in 30 minutes without spending a dime. I did it that way. First you need to find a 4.5V AC adapter as three AAA batteries will give you a total of 4.5V when fully charged. My favorite is the 5.5V Panasonic portable phone charger that I found in a bunch of old stuff. Cut the connector off one end, separate the two wires by about two inches. Expose the copper wires on the inside by stripping half an inch of the wrapping from each end. Unscrew the three screws on the bottom to release the battery. This is a separate structure that is not connected to the light body by any threads. Flip it over and find two black wires ending in two diagonal corners. All you have to do is insert the wires through the hole in the battery compartment knob and attach the copper wires to each of the wires. Make good contact so you don't have to solder them. Replace the cover and tighten the screws. Now plug the other end of the adapter into a power outlet. Voila! Now you have a work lamp without batteries forever! Please note that you may be breaching the manufacturer's warranty or return policy. You also risk shorting out the lamp circuit or even personal safety. So make your own decision and take risks. I take no responsibility for any consequences that may arise from my review. Make this custom lamp the perfect 4th of July gift!
