Worked great on a 2002 BMW 325i that was reporting DTC P0444. I verified that the original OEM purge control valve was defective by hooking up my vacuum gauge to the valve's larger end fitting and verifying that it is not holding vacuum (meaning it is stuck open). This was after I had already confirmed that the purge control valve power connector read 12 volts with the ignition on. The operation of this particular system consists of the vehicle's CPU turning on the purge control valve by connecting it to ground, thereby completing the circuit. This aftermarket valve looks just like an OEM part. So many that I almost lost track of which part is defective.
