I needed a way to access some bare M.2 SSDs. Mostly I have NVMe, but I also have SATA. I've had a few other cases that only support NVMe and they worked fine, but my last one had some weird issues closing the case. This one, on the other hand, is perfect. Although it's a bit thicker, 90% of the time I probably won't even install an outer shell. Note: if you use it like I do and plan on switching drives frequently, don't bother clicking on it. ! Even panes protruding at a 45ยฐ angle are easily accessible.
