After buying 10 more pairs I finally found boots that I like. My 2 horses had problems with abscesses and laminitis and needed gaiters that they could wear for a long, long time. While I was concerned about the lack of much cushioning, they seem to have gotten the job done. I wanted leather and they held, not a single rip or tear and although they were a bit sloppy after trimming they didn't fall off or curl sideways. A company employee recommended typical "cloth, canvas" boots, the same material that many boots are made of, but I'm glad I stuck with the leather. I knew from experience that the other species would not survive long. Excellent investment!
