I didn't plug it in, but I still only needed the battery cover.
This did not fit my TCL Roku TV. However, I used the battery cover from it to replace the broken one on my remote. Fixed issue for me as it's really the only issue with my remote control. I'm not sure what the solution would be if one person really needs the entire remote to work.
- The remote control does not require any software or settings. Just insert fresh 2AAA alkaline batteries to get it going!
