Review on Sony PlayStation 5 game console 825 GB SSD, white/black midnight by Wiktor Franko ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nothing ordinary, a normal product.

The PlayStation 5 has an enormous size, an odd height, and a peculiar form. With all of its perks. A cutting-edge, powerful console. Pretty quiet. There are some games that are just available on the PlayStation 5, and you won't be able to play them anyplace else. You are able to extend the amount of storage available on the device by installing an M.2 NVMe SSD drive (this does not result in any loss of speed, despite Sony's claims that the built-in SSD is extremely quick). Various disadvantages: Let's take an objective look at how it stacks up against the Xbox Series X/S. PSNow only has a small selection of games available for purchase, in contrast to the Xbox Game Pass's library of over 400 games, many of which are of a very high quality. Immediately establish a reasonable budget for the games. In addition, the price of AAA titles on the PS5 is more than it was for the previous generation. Because the PS5 does not have a "developer mode," it is not able to install any third-party software other than what is sold in the company's official online shop. Why is it necessary to do this? By unlocking developer mode on Xbox (for a one-time price of 20 USD), you are able to install any kind of app on the console. If you install the RetroArch emulator, you will be able to successfully play thousands of games from consoles such as PS1/PS2/PS3/Dreamcast/Nintendo 64/GameCube/etc. In this way, the Xbox Series is able to provide backward support for games beginning with the Xbox 360, in addition to providing emulation (in addition to the capacity, in principle, to download anything that is essential for programmers). Backwards compatibility on the PS5 is limited to PlayStation 4 titles. The cooling system of the PS5 is noticeably less effective and more noisy than the one in the Xbox Series X. The filling is roughly the same, but the difference is in the frequencies of the CPU and GPU, as well as the amount of CU units in the GPU. At the same time, the performance is slightly lower. Dolby Vision and Virtual Reality Refresh Rate (VRR), which are both relevant to my situation because I have an LG OLED TV, are not supported by the PS5. The bandwidth of the HDMI 2.1 connector has been reduced; it now offers just 32 Gb/s, compared to 40 Gb/s on the Xbox Series X. As a result, 4K 120 Hz with HDR in full 4: 4: 4 mode will not be received, and instead, 4: 2: 2 color compression will take place. In addition to the technological flaws, I can't help but notice such a subtlety; for an example, take a close look at the exclusives that Sony has released in recent years. Women are being portrayed as being ugly and more macho, while men are portrayed as being foolish. When selecting a prefix for a child or adolescent, it is important to consider the influence that playing such games will have on his perspective of the world (although, of course, it is important not to forget about the age limit of games; it is absurd for a child to purchase games rated 18+). This pattern has been around for a very long time and has an effect on the overall industry; nonetheless, the circumstance is obviously more dire with regard to PS4/5 exclusives.
