The surface is very hot

Bought for ironing on the table. The concept is good, but the fabric used for the lining absorbs the heat of the iron instead of dissipating it, which is why I burned the pad of my finger when I grabbed the fabric to turn it over. Another great idea, but I'm not happy with the execution.

  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Upgradable

Transfers some of the heat.

You need an extra pad under the iron to avoid heat transfer from the iron at maximum steam temperature when using the iron on a non-heat resistant surface (e.g. wood or paint). In addition, the hot iron sticks to the fabric from above. Also, you need a piece of cotton wool over it so as not to damage the material and the iron. It's good for what it is. It doesn't let steam down, which is what I wanted.

Exactly what I wanted and nothing more

Unfortunately the design of the print doesn't suit my style (something simple please. Plain? Stripes? No 1970's floral). But it was a buy for functionality, not fashion, and it was really functional. I mainly use it with my travel/craft iron for crafts and light ironing of clothes. It turned any comfortable surface into a safe place to iron, and I love it for that.

  • Elegant design

This ironing pad is exceptional

I've been looking for a very long time for an ironing pad that won't shift or crease on the table top, is durable and really radiates enough heat to smooth out the creases on my cross stitch fabric. I hate pulling and setting up an ironing board to iron relatively small pieces of fabric. Being a cross stitcher I don't need a very large area for most of my designs so I bought the mini size. Now that I know I love this ironing pad and can trust its quality, I'm excited to get a 22" x 29" to…

Great addition to a sewing workshop

I finally got a dedicated table for cutting and unfolding fabric and I decided to use it on one side rather than constantly setting up an ironing board. It is great! I've been keeping an eye on the heat getting through it to the wooden table below and was a bit concerned that after heavy use it might damage the wood surface, but I put a layer of Insulbright batting underneath and now the table barely heats up still . I can see I have yet to get my hands on a large meter board, but this is…

I reinvented my ironing! Great gift.

I love my ironing pads! I particularly like the large one as it actually replaced my ironing board. Our family just moved in and we ruined our ironing board in the process. Instead of wasting money on a new one, I just went with my patchwork buddy. I just put it on the counter and I can iron and steam whatever I need. And I remembered something else! The back is like a cooling pad! In the past I've worried about my kids knocking over a hot iron and it falling off the wobbly ironing board. But I
