First note that I received this as a review unit, but will tell you honestly what I thought. This system was nicely packaged and well-protected. I had no trouble assembling it, though someone who is not accustomed to doing this may find a couple of things a little quirky. I'll talk about that later. The system comes somewhat unassembled. You will need to put the belt on the turntable, put the platter on, and attach the anti-skating weight to the turntable. The anti-skating weight is on a little very light nylon line, which must be hooked on to the appropriate ring on a little rod on the tonearm assembly. This is a little difficult and requires some dexterity. Probably this would be easier for someone not dealing with 65-year-old eyes.Other than that it assembled easily. It comes with light-weight cables for the speakers, which are pre-stripped for ease.Note that this is not an audiophile piece of equipment and will not make me replace my vintage stereo equipment, but it' is a nice system for someone starting in vinyl or wanting to have a unit for a second room that will not destroy your LP's. It comes with a good low-end cartridge, an Audio-Technical AT3600L. Unlike most low-end turntables, this is a standard-mount cartridge and could be replaced by an adventurous owner. It is rated for 2.5-3.5 grams of stylus pressure. I have been running mine at 3 and that seems to work fine. Note that one quirk of the turntable is that the tonearm weight is only calibrated up to two grams, so to set the proper pressure for this cartridge requires doing one full rotation and then setting at whatever amount over 2 grams you want. I'm not sure that upgrading the cartridge will make for a big change sonically, and the tonearm may not be happy about a higher-compliance cartridge. The unit is very attractive, much more so than I expected. The dust cover can be closed when playing records, which is great for me because it keeps my cat from being fascinated with the moving parts. The stereo sounds fine and produces all the volume any rational person would want. The speakers are not bad sounding considering their small size. They are 2-way speakers. A photo is provided with the grill off.The turntable is easy to use once set up. There is an on-off button for the turntable, and two buttons to change speed between 33 and 45. There is also a mode button to switch between turntable and Bluetooth mode. Yes, this works as a Bluetooth receiver. I have used it to stream music from my cell phone, which is a nice added feature. It paired easily and didn't seem fussy. One slightly annoying quirk is that after several minutes of not using the system it shuts itself down completely, requiring cycling the power switch on the back of the turntable. It took me a while to figure this out. Finally the system can be used to feed into an external system. There are RCA outputs, and they can connect either to a line-level system or to a magnetic phono input (there is a switch to put the preamp in or out of the circuit). The system also has a USB output so that the turntable can be used to rip records to digital by connecting a computer. I did not test this extensively, but it seemed to work and allowed me to connect my laptop with little difficulty. A USB cable is included with the unit.In all, I found this to be a very nice system once it was set up, and I've been using it more than I expected as a second-room stereo. I wish it had an input to connect in a CD player, etc., and it had a couple of little quirks, but for the price it is a very nice piece of equipment.
