I work in Yellowstone National Park and spend 90% of my time outdoors. I've used them at 45°F to 0°F. Between 45° and 30°, they keep a pretty comfortable temperature no matter what you're doing. Between 30° and around 15° you need to stay fairly active to maintain the same level of comfort. Below 10° you still need to add a third layer to stay warm. They're not as wormy as most long underwear, but when you're working in cold temperatures, they don't get too hot. I think they would be great for hikers, joggers or people who do a lot of outdoor work. Probably not much if you want to sit outside in 20°.
