BLUF: They're not strong enough to handle tire change spikes. front/rear on my YZ450FX. *Spoilers* I got over it quickly and scratched the wheels. The constant struggle required for a newbie installing mousse for the first time caused me to angrily use a pry bar to set mousse. At first I moved the rim protectors to where they were supposed to be, but after a few "peeps" they just snapped and became useless, becoming more of a hindrance than an asset. I recommend just getting rid of the scratches on the rims and damn it, put them on and go.
