Better Than Nothing

I had a pair of Motion Pro mudguards and thought they were similar. They are similar but they don't stick to the rim as well. They're not bad and are perfect for unruly drives. They are definitely better.

Buy hard plastic instead of rubber

Good thing there are 5 strings, but I would have preferred a longer piece of plastic. They are made of softer rubber rather than hard plastic, which caused them to cut through when pressed hard. I ran a heavy KTM 1190 sidewall tire and should have gone for the more durable option.

They're good for a "peep "

BLUF: They're not strong enough to handle the peep when changing tires. Matching front/rear bibs on my YZ450FX. *Spoilers* I got over it quickly and scratched the wheels. The constant struggle required for a newbie installing mousse for the first time caused me to angrily use a pry bar to set mousse. At first I moved the rim protectors to where they were supposed to be, but after a few "peeps" they just snapped and became useless, becoming more of a hindrance than an asset. I recommend just…

Get hard plastic not rubber

It's nice that it comes with 5 and the strings were useful but I would have preferred a longer piece of plastic. They are made of softer rubber rather than hard plastic, which caused them to cut through when pressed hard. I ran a heavy KTM 1190 sidewall tire and should have gone for the more durable option.

HARELY DAVIDSON TIRE

When trying to remove a typical HARELY DAVIDSON tire from the rim, the tread was easily crushed with a tire spatula. I think for lighter applications, off-road bikes, etc., this product will suffice. Lesson Learned - Some things are best left to the professionals. Take your wheels to a HARLEY dealer. It takes fifteen minutes to remove, mount, and balance an old tire and about $65 if you provide the tire.

Pros
  • N/A TIRE
Cons
  • I will say nothing
