Works but instructions leave something to be desired

Instructions show the main bracket parts (a), (b) and (c) and the fixing parts (d)-(r). However, as you can see in the picture, the fastener pack has been labeled from (a) to (g). I continued to rummage through the packaging for parts from (h) to (r) and finally came to the conclusion that the letters on the parts bag did not match the contents of each part group and had nothing really to do with that contents. By opening each package and sorting the contents by size and type, I was able to determine where all the pieces were. I simply had to ignore the references in the instructions to the parts in letters and only use the part that I felt fit the need. Also, the instructions were ambiguous. For example, the last step says "safety bolts" should be used. Safety bolts sound important, right? Nothing is marked "safety bolts" anywhere in the parts list. I hung my 55" TV on this bracket and still don't know what the security bolts are but it seems solid. And attaching the installed monitor arm to the underside of the wall plate is best done with two people - one to make sure the monitor arm doesn't detach from the top of the wall plate and make the TV rumble, a second person to push his head along a very long Phillips screwdriver in one hand and a cell phone flashlight in the other hand and tries to tighten the set screw without lifting the bottom of the monitor arm off the bottom edge of the wall plate. Like I said, it helped in the end, but with so many other options out there, get one of these.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Out of style
