Screen viewing angles are a pain and a shame for the JBL Horizon! The numbers are visible when viewed DIRECTLY or TOP. If you look a little BOTTOM, then the numbers disappear even during the day at full brightness. And at night there will be a black screen in general. The crooked and unmanageable auto-brightness system is the second problem with the JBL Horizon. In the dark, the screen brightness is reduced so much that the numbers are simply not visible. To combat this problem, I disassembled the device (see photo) and soldered a small 800 kOhm resistor to the light sensor (the required value was determined by brute force) and attached a strip of green plastic (from a Donat bottle) between the screen and decorative glass so that the date under the clock burned in green. Picked up the device. Now at night the screen brightness does not drop to zero visibility. The numbers are visible even from 5 meters. And the date glows green! The beauty!))
