This is a great lock for my purposes

This is a great lock for my purposes. Since all locks can be cracked, it's important to understand some level of context. If you give the criminal time to do anything, you can defeat any security system. If the perpetrator is familiar with the type of locking procedure, any lock can be picked. For quality protection I would suggest using multiple methods (as opposed to a single method like just using this lock) to protect your property. However, this is a good solid lock and a great addition to my existing locking system. I use it to block my generator for my caravan so it doesn't develop legs when I have to walk. It's durable and its resizing ability is great to match. This prevents anyone from getting leverage if it's free. My advice: take a size that reduces as much as possible. That means the smaller the extension, the better. Get the one that fits accordingly. This avoids exposing the narrowest part of the lock. If what you're locking is very valuable (expensive generator, motorbike, etc.) you should consider buying two, as a criminal might think twice about dealing with two such locks at the same time. That being said, I'm still sticking with the idea of using multiple methods. In this example I also use a cable/chain/padlock and use this padlock to attach the generator to the trailer frame. Overall I like the adjustable size, the sturdy construction, the rubbery outer coating to prevent cuts and scrapes, and the type of lock/key they use on this product. I would recommend.
