Review on 💧 Fleck 64K Water Softener Grains: Highly Efficient Solution for Crystal Clear Water by Dustin Keller

I combined this with an Aquasana 3 stage whole house filter (fine dust filter, main carbon filter, post filter). We live in a village and have well water that is surprisingly clean. It's very hard and almost acidic. However, we don't have to worry about the hardware. The recommended installation was to install the softener first and then the filter. The backwash is supposed to take care of the finer sediment that ends up in the softener - hopefully the filter will last a lot longer this way. I installed the system underground under my house. I have about 48 inches from floor to floor joist. However, I couldn't read the dimensions of this 5600SXT - its overall height is 63 inches. So I had to dig. no problem, but remember this thing is BIG. The hardware on the top block fits together fairly well, and nothing needs to be overtightened—just finger tight. The instructions suck, but there are some great videos on YouTube that walk you through the process. The only downside was that the hoses for the 1" inlet and outlet fittings were hard to find at my local hardware store. So I had to use some adapters down to 3/4" - I still have 3/4 Pex so flow hasn't changed. All in all a great fabric softener - can't compare to any other product but works perfectly. Got direct only done one backwash after installation - haven't run out of water for another backwash yet We are 2 adults and 2 small children with 3 bathrooms.
