Review on πŸ”‘ Enhanced Key Fob Shell for Honda Accord Civic CR-V & More (Blade Swap-Compatible) by Darion Wooten

It broke easily - very thin plastic and a screw (both broke and didn't fully seat) - Honda Pilot'07

I bought a 2007 Honda Pilot to replace a broken key. When swapping the insides from old to new, the key fob didn't snap into place - there was a gap on one side or the other (you can see that in the photo in another post - I had it too). I followed the advice of other posts and made sure everything was lined up correctly, but it still didn't close completely. Also, the key slides through the black sleeve, which gets progressively narrower as you go up (it doesn't matter how you insert the key), and gets to the point where you have to use brute force and a tool to get it. fully. But after going all the way, the keyhole (the hole at the top of the key) didn't line up with the hole in the plastic case - maybe about 70%. I was able to screw one of them in at an angle and straighten it again after a few turns. I also moved the security chip (you have to use a small screwdriver to pry up the top of the case and the chip is partially glued, you have to pull it out. There is no mount for the security chip so I put it in next to the remote control - of course , since it was all the way closed it bothered me so I made sure the non-closing side was away from the chip). The key and remote worked (I also replaced the battery) but the key came off easily. break when you turn the key in the ignition because the key fob will not close completely. And the other key fob was the same but the head of the screw broke when tightened. They are of very poor quality and I cannot recommend them.
