I really don't see the point in a tiny metal lock that has to go into holes when screwing into the top section of the bracket. Pretty bad idea considering that even fitting the quick release plate offered with this stabilizer will cause the grip to tilt due to the detail. You can't even put it down if you want to. instead it should be on a feather. BAD NEGATIVE WHY 3 STARS, the hex bolts used were either not tight or they have poor quality control because these bolts will fall out. It made me lose my suspension. the whole handle fell apart. Luckily it was over my bed and not over a ledge. HEX SCREWS MUST BE TIGHTENED BEFORE USE. However, the general build quality, feel, etc. didn't disappoint. Aside from loose screws, the grip feels solid and comfortable, like wood and metal. UPDATE: DO NOT BUY. The screws holding everything together are not secure and the handle fell off my weebill and I nearly dropped my entire rig. This cheap grip cost me nearly $2,000 in damage due to poor quality control.
