Really surprised at how smart and beautiful these things are. Clips, spikes or suction cups are included so you can place the candles in a flower arrangement on a table, tree or window. I wanted them for my windows. The suction cups allowed me to place them in the middle of the window instead of on the bottom sill. You can see much better from above. I also wanted a multicolor feature. With a simple remote control you can choose from several options: one color, several, transition from one color to another or flashing. There are no cables to fiddle with. It's nice to walk across the room and use the remote to turn them on or off in a second. This makes traditional plastic cord candles very boring. TO UPDATE; December 2017: Hey, a year later, and 11 of 12 candles are lit and working fine after two things: 1) replacing the AA batteries with new ones in the candle containers and 2) heating the suction cups with a hair dryer. to change the shape of the plastic after being flattened in its box for a year. This eliminates the "doesn't stick to the glass" dilemma. I'll try to be more careful with the mugs when I pack them this year.
