This shower head is made entirely of plastic, including all areas that need to be attached to each other. Make sure to apply the pipe thread tape generously or it will leak and as it is all plastic you cannot over tighten or the case will crack, I didn't apply enough teflon tape the first time and it leaks everywhere I disassembled it and liberally applied teflon tape to all joints and carefully tightened everything without damaging the plastic case and this stopped all the leaks so for now everything is working fine. Remember that this item is made entirely of plastic, including the body. So be careful when putting it on because if it tears, it can no longer be saved. Much luck
