I JUST received them and I'm already disappointed. My kid is 5 almost 6. I had to lengthen both sides to the MAX length and they barely fit him. They probably won't last you a year due to the fit and definitely won't last up to 8 years as advertised. MOST IMPORTANT: I checked the volume control before giving it to my son. I had the iPad at medium volume and it sounded loud to my adult ears. I went to maximum volume to see if the headphones would stop increasing the volume at any moment. It is not. This is again NOT as advertised. I only listened to the tutorial video on max and it was very loud. It may damage little kids' ears if they use them for hard or loud things. I do NOT recommend these if you are specifically looking for headphones that will limit the volume to a safe level for your child's eardrums. The item will be returned immediately.
