I hate writing bad reviews of a review product, but my experience with this product was not very good. The model I received has the same model number as the signature but the appearance of the device is different. It doesn't matter. The dictaphone seemed to work fine for the first few weeks, but now much of what I dictate is incomprehensible on playback. I tried different cassettes and batteries. The sound can be used for a while, then it becomes almost silent or distorted. Driving my secretary crazy. I understand that this was not a commercial department, but no serious maintenance was done. I found it frustrating to write out a letter or document in full, only to look it over again to find that my time had been wasted. It's light and the build quality isn't very good. It seems like a classic example of a device meant to be sold but not used. You might do well to note the date of the positive reviews for this device. The 2012 version may have little in common with the 2003 model!
