Bought this when my little girl (5) asked for a microphone. After a long search I found this gem. Advantages: - NOT VERY LOUD! I like it. The microphone barely amplifies the child's voice, just enough to make them happy but not enough to annoy them. Flashing lights (muted), songs (you can also turn down the volume), games - this microphone had it all. When my girl turned six and outgrew it, the next child took over. He had three children and everyone liked him. Strong! (see above) - Surprisingly good battery life. I seem to have changed the batteries 4 times in 3 years. Cons: NOT VERY LOUD, especially the amplification of the voice (which is almost non-existent). To me, this is a pro, but adjust your expectations accordingly.
