Almost as good as horn combs but less expensive

These combs from Kent offer the best compromise between feel and durability. They are very well done. I used to use high quality horn combs for my beard. The horn is the best choice for beard care, but it is very brittle. If you drop a horn comb, it will most likely break and lose a few teeth. They are like a thin china plate, very fragile. If the teeth fall out, the comb will damage the beard. Plastic combs aren't brittle, but they're cheap and have very small imperfections that stick to the beard. These Kent combs are the best of both worlds. They almost feel like they are made of horn without fear of breaking and losing teeth if dropped. Yes, they cost significantly more than a plastic comb, but that's the wrong approach to buying. Kent combs offer the near-perfect smoothness of a quality horn comb with no breakage. You should also keep in mind that you get three different combs that are useful for your purposes. A combination comb with wide and narrow teeth for the first grooming of the day. Take a small comb with narrow teeth and use it throughout the day. And a tiny mustache comb. If you're sure you'll never drop your comb, get a horn comb. But if you drop one, a few teeth will almost certainly break. Then it must be replaced. The horn must not be struck to groom the beard. But these Kent combs feel so close to a horn that it's hard to tell the difference, and if you drop one of them it certainly won't break. That doesn't mean they will never break, just that they definitely won't break like a horn comb.
