Review on UltraGard 4 444BC Charcoal Touring Motorcycle by Antonio Bly

I liked it but now I'm disappointed!

I really liked the cover for the first 3 weeks. It fits great and looks good. In the fourth week it started raining. I woke up with wet pockets and a wet seat. They didn't get wet, but the water soaked into the fabric and the skin got wet. Today 9/19/14 it was raining on the 2 mile walk home and the temperature was 78 degrees. I put the lid on as soon as I got home and the bottom stuck to the pipes and melted the holes in the lid. I was so disappointed. Now I have to go through the process of contacting the company to see if they will replace it or not. I also have to accept some backlash from two friends who ordered one after seeing mine. The following is taken from Revain's website: PU-coated, extremely durable, water-repellent polyester provides excellent protection from the elements, dirt and grime. LIE. I know it's not waterproof but there was a little rain. A fire resistant heat shield protects the cover from hot exhaust pipes and allows the cover to be used immediately after a ride. LIE. I should have guessed it was too good to be true. The main reason I bought this one. Double stitched with four folded block seams for maximum durability and watertight closure. TRUE to a certain extent. Maybe it's double stitched, but all the threads have already started to break. This was because not all threads were cut and they clung to everything. When I put it on or off the threads kept catching on pegs, pockets, floorboards etc. I will update my review after speaking to the company.
