Be careful what you buy

I would not recommend this product, I bought it online in early December for Christmas when it arrived and plugged in I couldn't get the VCR section to work so I contacted Philips support. The person he spoke to asked me to try a few things and concluded that the VCR section was defective. (They left for Christmas) So he sent me a replacement unit. When I plugged in the power supply and found that the new VCR wouldn't work, they informed me that they had to have a separate connector for the VCR as the VCR wouldn't fit in the ant. on the back of my TV. that by now I had the cable box in one place and the DVD section in another place on the back of the TV, so now I was out of place on my TV. was forced to buy a special adapter to connect the VCR to the TV. After an additional purchase I was able to get the device working (I never went to engineering school). The video recorder has a very poor recording quality. We tried to follow the book but it was very confusing and some of it is out of date. We tried recording the time for the last few days and found that the device cleared the memory 2 times and reset the clock and date to a date in the past (3 or 4 months). I wouldn't recommend this device for us to anyone, not even a person I don't like. If I were to buy any other electronic device I think Phillips would be at the bottom of the list.

Pros
  • Dual media playback and recording on DVD-R-RW and DVD+R+RW
Cons
  • Something else
