I like the simple look of this shelf, but that doesn't make up for the difficult installation. First the positive. It has a nice clean aesthetic. The boards feel solid and somewhat scratch resistant. Well packed. Unfortunately, the shelf has many assembly problems. The boards are not pre-drilled and have no markings. This means you have to measure, mark and drill very precisely where you want to attach the supports. This can be overcome with some careful measurement, so it's not the end of the world. There are three factors that really make installing this shelving difficult. One of them is drywall fasteners. When I tried to screw them in, the self-drilling drywall fasteners warped and cracked. The threads decayed and the interior was torn to shreds even with careful hand twisting. As a result, I had to purchase new drywall fasteners and install them with ease. The second factor is poor quality welding of supports. Each support has a different shape, and some are noticeably tilted when installed flush with the boards. The third problem is that the supports block the screw hole. This is a problem with many designs, but it can be very difficult to screw the shelf to the drywall mounts with the tool provided or otherwise. This is easier to do with an angled screwdriver or an adapter.
