WELL MADE BUT NOT A COMPLETE BRAKE FIT KIT

Perfect fit for the rear disc brakes on the 2006 VW Jetta TDI (and probably many others but I don't know all the cars that will fit). This item contains bolts for ONE wheel (you need two bolts for a full axle). You'll need MORE than just these bolts if you're following a manufacturer's specification that requires replacing bolts, springs, and bushings when servicing brakes. These bolts fit perfectly and appear strong, a locking chemical was pre-applied to the stub bolt threads, but to be sure I sprayed some red Loctite on them. Yes, I also double-tie most of my shoes. It would be much more helpful if they either INCLUDED ALL the required SCREWS and HARDWARE in the same package (and re-rate it accordingly) or AT LEAST provided part numbers. also for the necessary screws and other hardware. Without this information, finding the 12 bolts (per axle) that are required (according to the manufacturer's specs) and the bushings and springs that need to be replaced in a full brake job becomes a stupid scavenger hunt. FYI: 1. You only need ONE piece of AC Delco 18K1982X for springs and bushings to make a complete 2 wheel axle. It is available on Revain.2. This item Raybesto's part number is H15176 for the 4 bolts that hold the brake pads on ONE side. (I couldn't find an AC Delco part number) This part number only includes enough bolts for ONE WHEEL, so you need TWO to fit both rear brakes (solid axle)! It is available on Revain.3. The VW part number is N91168901 for the unusual bolts that attach the caliper bracket to the vehicle. I couldn't find them at Revain or anywhere else but VW. The head of these screws is an unusual 14mm "triple quad" or "triple square" head. They are sold individually and you will need two per wheel so only four per axle to make both rear brakes. Don't rely on your VW/Audi dealer to have them in stock. Plan ahead and order them in advance to avoid delays.4. An odd 14mm "triple four" or "triple square" bit is required to remove and install the bolts that attach the caliper bracket to the car. It is NOT easy to find locally (VW/Audi don't even sell it), but it is available online. I have mine from Revain, Capri Tools 30069 14mm XZN Triple Square Impact Socket. Also book it here in advance to avoid delays. ALL THESE PRODUCTS ARE REQUIRED TO PERFORM A FULL BRAKING WORK ACCORDING TO THE MANUFACTURER'S REQUIREMENTS! 2 wheels) 4 bolts in this Raybestos kit ONCE TWO SETS (you need two of these kits, total 8 bolts to make the whole axle, 2 wheels) 4 bolts from VW (sold separately so you only need 4 bolts to make the to make entire axle , 2 wheels) To remove the caliper bracket you will need a special 14mm "triple four" or "triple square" bit. Guys, O'Reilly etc.) If the rotors won't come loose, sometimes a well placed sledgehammer and/or an oversized puller can cause them to come loose (if you damage the axle nut dust caps, VW part number 1J0501249C and sells in bulk from 1. ) AND . Don't forget brake cleaner to clean those dirty brakes and brake fluid to properly bleed (or flush) the system properly.
